Mrs. McCord

Hi everyone! I am Mrs. Mikelyn A. McCord.  This year I am excited to be teaching 5th grade to all of you and with my wonderful teammates!  I will be teaching you English/Language Arts and Social Studies this year. It’s a complete toss-up on which is my favorite!

This will be my 22nd year teaching and my 14th year at Dearing Elementary School.  With the encouragement of my Daddy, I returned to McDuffie County in 2007 and have been all the greater for it!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Avery, and we are the proud parents of two sons, A’Vion, and Austin (Kiara) our furry son Jett the Pitsky, daughter/niece, Imani, and our precious grand babies, Kylen, Kaniya, and Kayden.

My favorite things to do are listening to audiobooks, podcasts, watching YouTube, taking care of my freshwater Central American Cichlids and Saltwater babies, but most of all spending time with my family!
