Mrs. Burkett

Hello and welcome to the Media Center!  My name is Nicole Burkett, and this is my 5th year at DES.  I graduated from Augusta State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and have been working in McDuffie County ever since.  I have taught Pre-K, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. In 2019 I earned my Gifted Endorsement through CSRA RESA. I am currently working on my Master's Degree at the University of West Georgia.

When I am not at Dearing Elementary school, I love to spend time with my family, going to the beach, and reading.  I have been married to my husband, Kenny, since 2018, and we have one daughter. 

I cannot wait for you to visit the Media Center so you can pick out your next book. Maybe it will take you on an adventure or give you all kinds of facts.
