DES Beta Club

The DES Jr. Beta Club is for students who show academic excellence and leadership qualities.  

 

Each spring, we invite 4th & 5th grades students with an on grade level academic average of 90% or higher to qualify to join our Beta Club.  Each qualified student must then have two teachers, who do not currently teach them, fill out a recommendation form verifying that he/she has exhibited leadership skills during the school year.  Once all requirements have been met, we have an induction ceremony to welcome these hard working students into our club.

 

The DES Jr. Beta Club meets monthly on the last Tuesday of each month from 2:30 - 4:30 in the Media Center.  Our first meeting of the year will be in August.  Click HERE for the meeting dates.   During our meetings we work on developing leadership skills and serving our community through various projects.
