Miss Burau's Second Grade Class
My name is Desiree Burau and I will be your student's second-grade teacher! Our year will focus on building off prior knowledge while also learning new skills! We work in small groups a lot to differentiate learning and to concentrate on certain skills. We also have a wonderful paraprofessional Mrs. Justice, who will help out each day with classroom management and academics. We have certain behavioral expectations to meet in the classroom and school wide. We will work to follow our PAWS expectations each day from arrival to dismissal. I am looking forward to a great year and making new memories!
About me: I have a Bachelor's Degree from Augusta University in Elementary Education. I love to spend time with family and friends during my free time. I also like to shop, try different restaurants, and go to Braves baseball games! I absolutely love teaching second grade at DES and seeing my students grow academically and as individuals!
