Welcome to Dearing Elementary School! DES serves students in PreK-5th grades in the wonderful, small town of Dearing, Georgia. Our staff is here to serve our students and their families, and we are committed to the academic, social, emotional, and physical success of each of our students!
We believe that the home/school connection is vital to student success and helps everyone to reach their highest potential! Please help us continue to achieve success by
Ensuring that your child is at school on time each day, instruction begins promptly at 7:30am;
Attending parent/teacher conferences and school events,
Monitoring your child's homework and grades (Parent Portal),
Expecting and supporting positive behavior at school,
Reading with your child or encourage your child to read daily

We encourage parents to utilize our Parent Resource Center which houses learning materials and supplies for use at home to build skills and strengthen foundational knowledge. In addition, there will be numerous opportunities in which we welcome you to become involved this school year. Please view the calendar on our website and look for messages, newsletters, flyers, etc. about upcoming events.
