We introduce 4 new sight words per week. These words are extremely important, and students are tested weekly. They will also be a huge part of our kindergarten promotion assessments:

 

Promotion requirements (students must meet 2 out of the 3 areas)

1. BLT (Basic Literacy Test) students must earn a minimum score of 26 (Tested 3 times per year)

 

2. GKIDS (Georgia Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills)

*students must earn a score of demonstrating in 5/7 ELA areas

*students must earn a score of demonstrating in 5/7 MATH areas

 

3. Running Record: Students must read and comprehend the level C book.

 

All students are expected to follow the PAWS rules & expectations:

 Students also earn school-wide PAWS slips for following expectations. These slips can be turned in monthly for PAW Patrol prizes!
